Executive Director
Maureen Tambasco
In 1994 I began working for the "Deaf services Center of Citrus County". The name was changed in 1996 to Citrus Hearing Impaired Program Services. I went from Data
Entry to Office Manager and in 1997 became the Director. Without a background in Deafness and hearing loss, I had to learn from every day events and some trusted mentors. During the early years I attended workshops and classes to assist me in the responsibility of running this center. After 16 years I am still learning. With new technology and the life of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing forever changing, we have new challenges that arise. I work with the community in trying to promote hearing wellness as well as understanding of quality communication.
